Planned Developments

Auto-deployment for different article types - September 2005

The more deployments of node1 we make, the more we see commonality amongst the sorts of things that site owners are interested in capturing. So we're looking at doing well-specced plans for each different content type and then creating an auto-deploy wizard to allow a site owner to quickly and easily add a new feature to their website. Initially on the cards are as follows:

  1. General articles
  2. FAQ flat
  3. FAQ directory
  4. Link directory
  5. Property listings
  6. Product listings
  7. Bibliography
  8. Diary / Blog

SEO monitoring - October 2005

We are looking at ways of taking out the tedium of doing manual search engine monitoring and are currently planning a suite of utilities aimed at monitoring SEO activities and making recommendations for further improvements to SEO initiatives. Initially we aim to provide the following:

  1. Google PageRank monitoring, on a monthly basis, including the ability to monitor PageRank across multiple pages
  2. Spider representation - provide a glimpse of what the search engines probably are seeing
  3. Hit rate statistics for every page in Node1
  4. Title and meta tag debugger
  5. XHTML validator - multiple page submission
  6. Incoming link calculator
  7. Tag:content ratio calculation
  8. Determine keyword searches performed by users to find your pages
  9. Monitor Google rank based on keyword phrase
